Skills Brokers' Training

Skills Brokerage Training in Falmouth (October 12th – 13th 2017)

Ten skills brokers appointed by the SERFA partners attended a comprehensive training session in Falmouth, UK, delivered by the CMN's lead skills broker Stephen ROBERTS.

Through observation and review the partners were provided with a holistic insight into the role of the skills broker through a number of key areas:

- Methods of business engagement and business needs analysis;

- Use of interactive and theoretical practises during consultation with SMEs;

- Creative peer learning sessions and ongoing open questioning;

Partners had the opportunity to observe Broker to Business consultations in real time. The session culminated in the collective completion of business Training Needs Analysis with a solution focused Training Planning.

SMEs are invited to contact their local skills broker to get free support with the identification of skills needs and the recruitment of apprentices.
